The year 2017 is coming to a close and it was full of new surprises at the Mesenia-Paramillo nature reserve. So far it appears we will have some interesting new species of amphibians and reptiles. This success has been mainly due to Ubiel Rendon, one of our park rangers, whose keen vision is amazing. Currently, molecular characterizations are being done by Prof. Adolfo Amezquita and his team of collaborators at the Universidad de los Andes.
